do they serve chips at Thai places?

Have travelled the world sampling many a fine dish. I wonder if this 2nd expedition of the MEND society will stumble upon one of life's extraordinary inventions. The humble chip. Yes the potato in many societies is seen as a common food, however it is like PEPPER. Under-rated and overlooked.

Oh the world makes a fuss about Paprika and Thyme, Rosemary and chives. Cumin, Fennel and Parsley but oh how they over look the BLACK PEPPER!

And so the humble potato falls into the "pepper" category of in everyone's pantry but not appreciated.

So I for one, as chief taster for the Little Tart (available every Saturday morning 8-12 noon at Tauranga Farmers Market) and culinary member of MEND hope that this Restaurant provides chippies.
...... Or a good Green Curry will do!

second critique night booked!

Our second night of culinary delights is booked! Saturday 27th February and the winning restaurant is Thai @ Tauranga, 15 Wharf Street

This is a BYO restaurant so a slightly sweet Riesling or Gewurztraminer would match very well with the many flavors of Thai food (go to useful links on left for more info)

Cocktails will be from 6.30pm at Bravo on Red Square

Looking forward to Donna's next brainteaser ~ there will be a prize for the first person who guesses correctly
